Both the Radisson Quad City Plaza Hotel and the Holiday Inn Rock Island provide shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotels will be able to offer you faster service if you give them information about your flight arrival time when you register.

Transportation to Conference Events Shuttles will run between the two hotels on a schedule that will be included in your conference registration packet. (The schedule will be posted here as well, once it becomes available.) For attendees with limited mobility, transportation will be arranged between the Radisson and the River Center on Saturday and between the Radisson and the Figge Art Museum on Sunday. Transportation between the Radisson and River Center will be by wheelchair. Transportation between the Radisson and the Figge will be by shuttle bus or car. If you will need this service, please indicate that in the special needs section of the registration form.

The Pre-Conference Workshops during the day on Friday will be held at the Unitarian Church in Davenport. You will need to arrange your own transportation for these workshops.

Transportation by bus or carpool is available for attendees of Workshop C-8 (“Live from the Kitchen: Locavoring by Cooking, Canning, and Eating from Your Neighborhood”), Saturday, 3:30 – 4:45 pm, at the Unitarian Church in Davenport. This is the only conference workshop that is off-site.

Parking At the Radisson - The City of Davenport runs the River Center parking ramp, located between East 2nd St. and East 3rd St., which serves hotel guests. You may access the ramp by vehicle on the north side of East 2nd Street in either of two entrances directly across the street from the Radisson. Or you may drive into it from Brady Street, between East 2nd and East 3rd streets. A parking pass (allowing for in and out privileges) at the River Center ramp nominally costs up to $7.00 per day, though the city sometimes waives the fee on weekends. A limited amount of parking is also available free in the hotel’s parking lot (at the back of the hotel). City parking meters are available surrounding the hotel and throughout the downtown area. The first two hours of metered parking is currently free. The following map shows detailed downtown traffic patterns and access to the ramp: http://www.cityofdavenportiowa.com/egov/docs/1207747235_95397.pdf The ramp is connected to the Radisson by skywalk on the south side (second story). It is connected to the River Center South/North by skywalk on the north side (second story). During inclement weather you can easily access all conference venues by using the skywalks – and stay dry and warm! We will have signs to direct you. Of course, you can also take the streets. At the Holiday Inn Rock Island Parking is free, with room reservation. At the Unitarian Church in Davenport There is a large lot at the top of the hill near the church’s front door, on the main level. There is also parking along the edge of the driveway as you drive up the hill toward the lot. This parking is more accessible to the lower level of the church. The entry to the lower level is easily identifiable under a covered walkway.
