What is a Peer Chaplain Training for Young Adults?
Become a trained, compassionate listener who knows how to keep people company through their difficult times. You’ll learn how to nurture people and communities by offering your attention and love. Peer chaplains are not certified professionals but regular folks who care deeply about other people.
How is it different from a con?
A training is a weekend focused on learning a skill set. They are generally more structured than a con and attendance is limited to 30 people.
Keynote, Trainer or Speaker: Leslis Massicotte, Trainer Ruth Hinkle, Trainer Tikka Adele Johnson, Logistics
Age Group: Like cons this is for young adults aged 18-35.
$35-$75. This covers the training as well as meals. It's sliding scale, so pay what's best for you, though remember that if you can pay more, that helps off set the cost for those who can't.
