Fair Share for 2012-2013
After much deliberation, we announce that the Fair Share giving rate to the Heartland District will increase to $22 a member effective for the fiscal year from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.
The increase to this amount was actually approved by delegates to the Heartland Annual Meeting in 2006 and was to have gone into effect July 1, 2010. We've been able to hold the increase off for a few years, as we knew that the economy was making it tough for everyone in Heartland.
District Contributions
Each year, Heartland District member congregations are asked to submit an Estimate of Congregation Pledge Request. This pledge of annual support helps the District adjust its budget based on anticipated contributions. The Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Estimate of Contribution Pledge Request should be submitted to the District office by August 1, 2012, or at your earliest opportunity.

Annual Program Fund
Significant financial support for the Unitarian Universalist movement comes directly from our 1,047 member congregations. Congregational contributions to the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Annual Program Fund (APF) provide almost half of the Association's unrestricted income. These contributions fund Association programs, services and resources that directly benefit and strengthen congregations and Unitarian Universalism as a whole. Click HERE to learn more.
